Hello friends, family, and fans of literature, I've assembled a few highlights from the last three months of my storyteller's journey, with some exciting news included! In early January we spent a long weekend on the Washington Coast.
While I didn't do any serious writing (just journaling) while there, I did have time to do some productive reflecting on my career. Click here to read the blog post where I share some thoughts on my creative life. * * * * * Exciting News: Through a series of serendipitous events, an article I wrote on our 2018 trip to Guatemala was recently published in The Fountain Hills Times—a weekly newspaper in Arizona! (My bio is at the bottom.) * * * * * Last month we received what would be a large amount of snow for us. While we live in the Pacific Northwest, because we live in a valley, our temperatures usually never fall to a level that allows for snow. So it's a big deal when it snows! Click here to read my blog post on why I love to write wintertime tales.
(By the way, since the publication of that blog post I've begun writing a new Lindstrom Wintertime Tale set in Alaska: The Hidden Hinterland. I had previously outlined this story while we were visiting Denali National Park in 2017.) * * * * * Last Saturday we traveled to Astoria, Oregon. Michael needed to deliver some oil paintings to RiverSea Gallery, and I needed to deliver some books to the shop that carries my books: Finn Ware. We love spending time in that town!
* * * * * More Exciting News: It's been a while since I've offered a contest to win a signed copy of one of my books; so if you'd like to participate in a Rafflecopter Giveaway (including books, bookmarks, and gift cards!) click here. * * * * * Wishing each of you an inspirational spring season!
